For all practical purposes in 26" barrels - ive found the edge pound for pound gives the best performance (speed vs powder burnt)w/ 300 grain bullets. Just my own experience - been playing heavily with 338 lapua ai's lately.The Edge and the Improved 338 Lapua were the velocity leaders. All were accurate as hell. The Lapua improved only beat out my Edge by about 30fps and took alot more powder to do it. Brass didn't last any longer either. I know guys are getting 10 reloads on the Lapua brass,Most 338 edge users prefer the full 30" tubes and are getting up to 2800-2850 with the 30".
